The event is organised in collaboration with Merano Tourist Office by Concentus Study Group member Patrizia Ferrari.

Ikebana (“living flowers”) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. While similar western art forms often emphasize the number and the color of the flowers used, ikebana emphasizes the
use of lines and of “empty” spaces. Few flowers and branches suffice to create an artful yet simple and clear arrangement.
Nowadays, ikebana can be included in the visual arts. Its main (but not sole) components are flowers, but materials such as plastic, metal or scrap metal may also be used in floral arrangements.
During the Merano Spring event, an ikebana exhibition and two ikebana workshops are held at Merano’s Thermal Baths and presented by the Concentus Study Group.

I fiori d’arte – Vernissage – Rome – Aprile 8, 2018

Rome – Aprile 8, 2018 H.18.30 – 23.30

Borgo Angelico 18A

Sunday, April 8 at the Apres club will be held the opening of the ikebana exhibition by Lucio Farinellii and Luca Ramacciotti, leaders of the Concentus Study Group. The masters, together with the teachaer Anne Justo, will guide us towards ‘the way of flowers’, a splendid path that proposes seven works witnessing the continuous and fruitful dialogue between art and nature, as masters of the universe. Ikebana is an art regulated by ancient traditions and poetic symbolism, so we will immerse ourselves in the infinite shades of flowers.
“Ikebana should not be considered a fixed object.
Ikebana is constantly fluctuating.
You should not give ikebana a shape.
Ikebana has a new shape for every new Era.”
(Hiroshi Teshigahara)”

Club Après, Borgo Angelico 18a.
Reduced price admission (18.30 – 20.30): 3 euro
Standard price admission (dalle 20.30 in poi): 5 euro

Workshop on perfumes with Antonio Alessandria – January 20 , 2018

Rome – January 20, 2018

Hotel dei Congressi – Viale Shakespeare 29

Antonio Alessandria begins his studies in Italy with Mouillettes and Co. and continues at Cinquième Sens in Paris. Subsequently he deepens the subject by working with established independent perfumers.

At the same time, the desire to share his passion with others pushes him to start a new adventure: the creation and management in Catania of a salon of artistic perfumery, Boudoir 36.
His desire is to host people in an intimate place, to tell his passion and to make known the creations of the most beautiful perfumery, in an environment that would forget all geographical and temporal references.

He realised his first 3 fragrances in 2014 as a tribute to the moon “Nacre Blanche”, “Nuit Rouge”, and “Noir Obscur”. A year later he was “Fleures et Flammes” time. In 2016 he created “Eperdutament” and in 2017 “Gattopardo”. His creations are inspired by his land, Sicily. He also makes perfumes for another Italian brand, “Noble 1942”. His perfumes are sold throughout Europe, America and the United Arab Emirates.

During the workshop we will explore the world of fragrances in a scientific way and the sensations they provide.
